Funny stuff

Heh. Following on the previous post about creative writing school, I must now provide a link to McSweeney’s, which has a related humour piece here. It’s a pretty apt representation. Sometimes in workshops it’s just so hard to figure out what to write about someone else’s work. You don’t get it, you don’t think they wanted you to get it, there’s nothing to get … what do you say, in thsoe situations?

“The problem is I have all these questions I don’t necessarily want you to answer for me. I raise these questions to let you know that there were questions, and if you had intended me to perceive the answers to any of them, I didn’t.”

Funny stuff.
