Fighting procrastination

Via the Morning News, a link to a site where they’re discussing a particular ‘system’ for, essentially, cutting procrastination out of the workday (although they’re calling it workplace quality over quantity): here. There are some tips there that I will definitely need to follow while writing my book, or I will not be writing any book at all. The e-mail one is good, as is the logging of 1-3 successfully completed tasks. Although, since I don’t have a boss, logging it may be hard to check up on later. Chat shouldn’t be a problem (there’s just me) but I do have a bad habit of, well, multi-tasking, which is supposed to be a good thing, but generally isn’t when you’re trying to get something done.

Then in the comments someone linked to this, another system for getting everything done. I might try this one out; I have a spiral notebook with lines, so I’m set to go in terms of prep, and I tend to get a bit of a thrill from crossing things off and to-do lists. Maybe some combination of the two, plus the addition of “internet browsing only at” to the e-mail times.
